Important News! We have closed our second office in Loxley, and have also closed our Orange Beach office effective March 21st.

It is with a profound sense of disappointment that we have to announce that we have closed our Loxley office of Paradise Smiles Denistry, effective Wednesday, February 23rd, and have just closed the Orange Beach office effective March 21st 2011.

All of us at Paradise Smiles Dentistry poured our hearts and souls into the construction and opening of the Loxley office and the Orange Beach office. We know that we put 110% effort into getting these locations up and running. Still, we did not plan nor foresee the continuing economic devestation caused by the BP oil spill. Our Dental company suffered the loss of hundreds of patients - hotel workers, hospitality workers, fishermen, and others - and with them, the subsequent loss tens of thousands of dollars of our operating income.

We sustained a severe financial loss of over 30% from our previous year of operations, and to this date only one dentist in the entire affected area has received aid from the BP claims process. Inasmuch as I ultimately take responsibility for the closure of the business, it is hard to walk away from a life's dream without expressing my feeling that BP has indeed put corporate profits ahead of the American worker.

Thus, after no longer being able to sustain continued financial losses we have elected to close our practice in Orange Beach and combine our talents with the staff of U-Save Dentistry in Foley, Alabama on Route 59, effective March 21st. This will allow us to re-focus our energies on the great patient care we have given over the years and still be able to be available locally. We have found a new dentist by the name of Tara Wheeler DMD from Birmingham to open the former Loxley office location. We sincerely hope that those of you seeking dental care in Northern Baldwin County will seek her out and support her fledgling office. Of course we welcome any of our former Loxley patients who want to continue to see Dr Dentremont to come down to Foley!

April 1st Update!! As we transition to the wonderful new office of U-Save Dentistry, I wanted to let you understand some important transition policy differences between our former business Paradise Smiles and U-Save.

First,it is important to know that U-Save Dentistry does NOT accept insurances. For a limited time (Until May 1st) Dr. Dentremont will process insurance claims for our former patients who previously had scheduled an appointment in Orange Beach. U-Save endeavors to keep their fees low by not having to hire an additional employee just to process the tremendous volume of insurance claims. They WILL provide you with the ADA form necessary for you to file a claim with your insurance company so that you can be reimbursed by them.

Second, Dr. Dentremont WILL CONTINUE to see his orthodontic patients and any treatment in progress from Orange Beach without additional fees. This means that as long as you have an active case from Orange Beach you will NOT incurr any additional fees from U-Save Dentistry. All of Dr. Dentremont's patient records have been acquired by U-Save Dentistry, and he will be available to his former patients at the new location in Foley.

Third, Dr. Dentremont will continue to process insurance claims made to the former dental practice so as to clear your accounts if you have a balance. Any outstanding claims or accounts remaining must be paid in full over the next couple months so as to close the books on the former practice. Any accounts that extend past June 21st will be sent to a collection company.

Forth, We understand that not all patients from Perdido Key or Pensacola or elsewhere will want to travel to Foley. We will offer free transfer of any records until May 2011. Following that, there will be a nominal charge for administrative processing and mailing of your records by U-Save Dentistry's employees to a dentist of your choice. Dr. Dentremont hopes to see many of his former Orange Beach patients in Foley, however, and welcomes them!

And Fifth, Please give us an opportunity to settle into this transition!! There are still claims and forms to process, and calls to return, and insurances to battle, and paperwork to sort out, and refunds to issue! We pretty much know by now what we have to do... it's just getting settled into the new routines and accomodations that is taking time to accomplish. Give us a call if you have a question or problem and we'll put it on Dr. Dentremont's "Honey Do" list!
